The Retriever Team Challenge

12 teams of 4 Open Standard, Any Variety Retrievers
and their Handlers

The Retriever Team Challenge takes place across the beautiful Deer Park on the Sherborne Castle Estate during the morning and by the lake in the afternoon, offering spectators a wonderful opportunity to see the dogs in action throughout the day.

During the morning, five tests will run simultaneously in the Deer Park. In the afternoon, all teams head to the lake for the water test, which always provides a thrilling finale to the competition.

The Spaniel Team Challenge

We regret to announce that the Spaniel Team Challenge (STC) will not take place at the Sherborne Castle Country Fair in 2026 and will be taking a break for one year. This decision has not been made lightly, and we very much hope to see the STC return in 2027.
