ACTIVITIES AND DISPLAYS

  • Rapid Shot is a unique interactive shooting experience, suitable for all ages.

  • Battle archery for all, under expert tuition. Try your skill, all ages are welcome.

  • Have a go at throwing mini hawks, aka throwing angels and hatchets!  Qualified instructors will help you to hit your target.

  • Classic, traditional, fairground ride.

  • Have fun and try and hit the target.  Find them on the East Lawn, in front of the Castle.

  • For children, take the scenic route between the Castle and the lake.

  • See the view from the top!

  • All the fun of a traditional fair.

  • A beautiful carousel, golden horses, all from a bygone era.

  • Colourful and fun.

  • A wonderful display of working model boats, warships and yachts on the lake.

  • A traditional Irish dancing group who are based in Stoke-sub-Hamdon. Classes run on Saturday mornings for ages 3-18 and all abilities are welcome. They travel across the South West performing in weekend festivals, stage shows, parties and more!

  • Rock Choir is the UK's original and largest contemporary choir.  Founded in Farnham, over the last 20 years it has seen choirs pop up all over the country, including now, here in Sherborne. Rock choir is all about singing, fun, community and friendship. Members can enjoy experiences such as recording at Abbey Road, playing arenas like the O2 and NEC, ordinary people enjoying life-changing musical experiences.

  • Members are given many performance opportunities and often perform with the Sherborne Town Band. Since 2008 many youngsters in the Youth Band have taken graded music examinations and it is a testament to their hard work that many have passed with merits or distinction.

  • Watch as this band of young people entertain you with their musical skills.

  • Bringing a traditional and nostalgic touch of Olde England to the Fair.

  • 16 strings, 8 dancing feet and 4 voices with 1 aim: to make classical music wickedly funny and fantastically exhilarating.

MUSIC AND DANCE

VINTAGE VEHICLES

  • An eclectic display and a nostalgic trip down memory lane with this display of vintage cars, lorries and farm machinery from a bygone era.

STATIC AND ROVING PERFORMERS

  • Spectacular acrobatic demonstrations by the local Gryphon West Gymnastics Club. A voluntary-run club, formed in 1998, and offering general gym, acrobatics and tumbling for ages 4-22 years, all abilities up to medals at National Finals.

  • Near the Thatched House.  Take a seat on the straw bales to watch.  "That's the way to do it!"

  • Magical bubble displays from the Bubble Fairies.  See them around the showground during the day.
